Hinderer XM-18 3” No Choil Slicer. $95
This Hinderer XM-18 started life as a flipper. I have size L hands and didn’t like the fit, so I ground the flipper off and use the thumb stud, and it fits my hand well this way. This knife has strong lock up, a nice detent that works well using the thumb stud, and is centered. It has seen very little use.
The 3” blade is made from M390 steel, with a ‘slicer grind’, and no choil. It has what Hinderer calls a working finish. It came with a black G10 scale which is included, along with the installed burgundy micarta scale. The clip can be set tip up or down. It comes with the Tri-way pivot system with bearings, Teflon washers, and phosphor bronze washers which are currently installed. It is about 7” open, and weighs 3.3 ounces.
