I received this from another member - it better explains the origins of this knife - this is what I was trying to say but it's much better put. The XM-24 I have listed is a mid-tech, not a production knife as Erni referred to it in this thread. It's a generation 2 mid-tech. Gen 1 was the all titanium of which ten were made. There are custom and mid-tech gen 2s. The mid-tech are hand made and assembled, the blade is ground on a CNC machine and hand sharpened.

Yes and no - this knife is one of the first production runs for this model - it is not one of the ten knives with the titanium scales with the cross on it - I hope that answers your question - I'll get some pics up today

I have correctly understood that it production the version with flat grind blade? What finish blade?
