Just received this.....what an awesome, gorgeous, indestructible piece Rick Hinderer made, here....this knife is shear perfection. Just wanted to say that.
That said, catch and release for me.....it's just bigger and awesomer than I need for my daily chores. It's very very sharp, blade nicely centered, no (zero) blade play. No deformities of any kind, that my old stoner eyes can see.
Detent----very strong. This is a classic "Hinderer Flip" flipper...one strong push and the blade flies out. Trust me, leave the "thumb tabs" as blade stops.
