Great pictures! That sundog effect is insane. I can't believe I've never seen that before. On a topically related note, the high here today was in the low twenties with a wind chill in the teens/single digits. Coldest day in 3 years and coldest December day in 15. So, naturally we had a cow start calving, and naturally there have been issues all day. At least it gave me sort of a legit excuse to be outside in the cold and trudging threw 3 inches of sleet. I have a couple of pictures that hopefully I can put up later.

I cannot imagine -17 with some wicked wind, that would probably send me over the edge.

O another note, a few years ago, a cold snap blew through and temps dropped to 14 degrees. A friend that is a weather nut said he clocked temps with wind chill at around 4 degrees at the foot of some nearby mountains.
