So, again, how good is Hinderer's take on M390?
It's the same M390 everyone else uses. HT details, I believe, are pretty specific. I don't see why it would vary.
M390 is great stuff without a doubt.
I ordered a XM-18 3.5" no choil in M390 from DLT yesterday evening, and I figured I'd ask if anyone here had any personal hands on experience with anything Hinderer in M390, and of course it doesn't hurt to ask.
Their knives are pretty good, they should be for $400+, so I'm relatively sure their HT is as well... but you never know.
Thanks for your input arskrg.

Good question. They run on the soft side (listed as between 59-60 HRC as opposed to 60-63HRC like 99% of other makers- Bohler, the maker of m390 steel, recommends between 60-62). Pretty suboptimal for a folding knife, to be honest. But suboptimally treated m390 will still outperform S35VN.
Hope that answers your question.
