This is my first time out the gate on a butterfly knife (why hello there, Mr. Learning Experience!) and I'm assessing my options.
I'm a bladesmith, not a machinist, so I'm afraid my tolerances are only as tight as my eye and my files have made them. Right now I have a rather robust roughed-out balisong sitting on my desk, riding on temporary rivets, and I'm wondering what the experienced makers use.
Hard rivets, of course, are always an option. Perhaps not a very good one, but an option. And chicago screws are the other obvious one. But, I'm always looking for a better solution, so is there anything out there I ought to know about?
