Now available is this double ground 12.5” CPM3V Hira Zukuri O-tanto. This one is .295” at the ricasso with a nice distal taper in the last third of the blade. The handle features a large Zirc menuki, is epoxy soaked and very durable. This is a fantastic cutter (see videos) and is nicely balanced.

What does the spine of the blade look like? Is it square, crowned, chamfered? Any markings or fuller?

Couple of other questions when you have a minute. Is it completely straight, or does it have a slight sori? Roughly where is the point of balance?

The spine is fully rounded. The point of balance is right at the "T" in my makers mark and the there is a small amount of sori.
