HI EVERYONE, I BOUGHT THESE TWO ROB LOVEDAY BOWIES AN THEY HAVE BEEN SITTING IN A SAFE FOR ALMOST TEN YEARS, I NEED TO SELL THESE TO SOMEONE WHO WILL USE AN ENJOY THEM MORE THAT I HAVE THIS LONG. The mens handle is longer than the womans Bowie and I forgot what type of wood he used but looks like burl maybe walnut. The mens Bowie is 15 3/8” long withn a 10” blade. The womens blade is 9 3/4” long with an 14 “overall length. They have never been used but do have some surface small specs because the steel is A2 tool steel an it will rust, but about all these two need is a good cleaning around the bolster an silver solder area an they would be almost new looking . I have 18 pictures but only 10 are allowed for one day . I will post ten an if they let me the next day another 8. You can see a Hamon line on the one knife an if you knew how to bring that out more ,do it . These sold for $ 400.00 to 500.00 in their day back then, dont know what any of His knives would sell for now but they are BIG, an the edge has that scary sharp feeling A2 will give. the Ladies Bowie has a smaller hand grip or handle than the mens knife. I have small hands an fingers an it fits me perfect but with no room to spare up or down , but fits like a glove. The mens has more lee-way an room to slide up or down more.
