On understanding, reality can be in front of your nose and your preconceptions prevent you from looking at it, as you already know all about it.
Too much cultural wisdom and truth is given lip service, then filed away to never be seen again. When I see it restated a different way, from a different culture, then it makes sense. When I hear Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, from the pulpit, I tune it out. When I read HHDL's commentary on the teachings of Jesus, When I read the Oral Torah, then the ideas sneak in under the wall against Bull---t I've constructed.
For this reason, that the answers come if you seek them, but often not in the places you look originally. XXXX EDIT More concise rewording in progress EDIT XXXX, they are free to practice their beliefs as long as they don't do it in the street and scare the horses. If they insist on inserting their noses where unwelcome, I then insist that both sides get to play by the same set of rules. That usually ends it.
