I asked this in the Buck sub-forum but suspect there will be more knife mechanics here who could guide me...

Can anybody give or point me to a review of the various pin and bushing assemblies that Buck has used over the years?

Can somebody educate me as to how bushing wear causes vertical play in a lock back?

I've noticed that my more recent Bucks have developed vertical play with hard use. My understanding is that
a) Buck has added bushings and changed bushing materials over the years and
b) Bushing wear is associated with vertical play.

At this point, I'm just trying to understand what was changed with respect to the pivot pins and bushings over the years and how that might affect the durability of a 110 (or similar knife).
