History of Spyderco?

That would be nice.
What would be cool is someone put up a more detailed time line. Starting with the first generations and then the changes big and small along the way.
Like what steel was used initially. When it was changed so when you look at a Spyderco you can figure out how old it is. I know there were 4 variations of the clip it, incorporated clip, but no idea how to tell the difference or when those variations started or ended.
Basically a collectors guide. Even knowing when the notch in the back lock helps you narrow down your knifes age. Don’t get me wrong it is fun trying to dig up all these clues on my own but even a simple guide would be appreciated.
Just some Friday musings

Was thinking about this today and hadn't seen it mentioned earlier in the thread. The Spyderco Byte email newsletter is always packed with some interesting historical details for whatever model is featured. This month has a nice article on the Native, last month was a great one on the RockJumper. Worth signing up for, IMO

Wow i was just looking for this thread. 5 pages scoured and figured i must have missed it. Nope lol.
Thanks not sure what you're talking about? Do i go to Spyderco web site to sign up?
