History of the Tube

The smell was the first thing I noticed when I opened my first knife. It reminded me so much of my Dad. He worked in factorys all his life doing maintenance on machines.

Funny how a scent can bring back a flood of memories.

The first thing I do when I open every new GEC knife before I ever pull it out of the tube is stick it up to my nose and get a good whiff of it. :) Should have seen my fiances face the first time she watched that whole process lol!

Plano's cool, but I found a brand at the local sporting goods store that has dividers made of rust inhibiting plastic.

I was gonna buy the popper to spread my vegemite. Is there some other purpose for the thing I'm missing? I leverage my tp with a screwdriver, you know, the old fashioned way?

I know the Flambeau brand of tackle boxes are made out of that rust inhibiting plastic that you're talking about. I don't think it lasts forever but it's still pretty cool.

That very well could be it. There were two brands that featured rust inhibitors, one had paper cards that you toss in with your lures (or knives), and the other as I described. My problem is that I bought a box too small for my knives. :(

don't mean to hi-jack the thread, but wish GEC would include a blade opener sometimes,,sorry
