hitachi white steel

It wont help much but Id be in for 10 pounds at least.If mixed order 5lb's of #1 or #2 white and 5lb's of Blue..If not then 10 pounds of white #1 or Blue..

Murray buys laminated steel from a manufacturer in Japan, he doesn't laminate it himself.... I would love a hundred pounds of that stuff...
 
Hitachi makes that stuff, too. Can't remember exactly what -gami it is, perhaps they'd include some in a mixed order?
 
well guys shot me an email with amounts and type nelsonmichael14@aol.com thanks to every one helping out i was talking to hitachi today and they said they would see if they could pull some strings for a mixed order im supposed to be talking to them tomorrow like ive told a few other people im not doing this for profit im doing this for the steel
 
also can you post the names of other knife maker forums that have a free classifieds not like kitchen knife forums that wants 145 for a hobby maker tag to even post

It might be worth while to try seeing if one of the knife steel suppliers are interested in possibly purchasing some. They may be more interested in some larger quantities for resale.

Hitachi seems to go out of their way to keep their blade steels from being exported. Which is why the makers here want to try some :)

I agree, that may be why one of them may be interested in a large quantity. It would make hitting the minimum order size easier.

Edit: to clarify, I mean someone like Aldo, alpha knife supply, Kelly. Someone that supplies steel to the custom makers.

I can't spaek for Aldo, but in a conversation a bit back, he said he was looking at stocking a German equivalent of White Steel. There may be more on this later this year.

You might want to give him a call.
 
aldo is not in for good reasons as me and him discussed we talked about how now that it is online and their is a set price for it that it would be hard for him to make a profit he is a great guy and i hope i will have the chance to do business in the future with him but the point still remains that we are 500lbs away from our goal not counting the people who have posted on here recently you have to send me an email before i can officially count you in nelsonmichael14@aol.com
 
I'd love some Super Blue flat bars if the mixed order works.
