Hitman knife

It was a little advert for the new movie that had the jokers personal items including the SS
Delicia. It was a topic here so if you could use the search function you could find it.

I hear you. What burns me is when the papers start making a sensation out of stabbings and shootings. They should just report the facts, and not try to make trends appear where there aren't any, but it sells papers and gets viewers. Unfortunately, the same scare tactics which get ratings scare people, and we end up with the stupid restrictions we have.
I think it's more the fault of how the media in general reports things than that of the entertainment world.

I completely agree with you, Stabman. It is never the perp that harms people, it's always that evil knife or handgun that takes on a life of it's own.

Why don't they cry about banning cars whenever someone drives drunk and kills someone?

Another good assassin knife is the rescue model. It looks nothreatening but would make an excellent weapon and is actually recommended for that by some self defence teachers.

The difference is that your comic classifies knives as weapons, and weapons only. You see a knife for how "wicked" it is, and how much your potential reader views it as dangerous. Assassin knives are what you want to draw, so you look for knives that fit your preconceived notions. The majority of knife collectors and enthusiasts don't look for knives that kill ruthlessly. Hence they don't want you portraying their hobby as a group of demented killers. No more than you want your hometown portrayed as a gang infested, crime ridden slum.

I'm sure that if your killer chose a Ford F250 as the best vehicle for a hit and run, and you posted that over at a ford forum, you would heard some negatives there too.

I hear in the SOG office they have a poster of Uma Thurman carrying her Desert Dagger. The killer in Silence of the Lambs also uses an SOG knife IIRC. Maybe you can ask them :P

even so... its not really the most effective knife for it, try a stilleto style knife.

Use a non descript knife for the butchering and a Spyderco for all the utilitarian needs your hit-man has. He must still get mail and dirty finger nails even if he is a hit-man :D

Wasn't a Spyderco used in Needful Things (movie) to skin that lady's dog? That movie has been out for ages, and I haven't seen any backlash from that gruesome scene.

It's a tool, people. Sure, there are anti-knife people in the world; always have been, always will be. I just can't see too many opinions being swayed by a fictional depiction in a comic book. And if someone's opinion is that easily swayed, how much was it worth in the first place?

Knives are weapons. The sword forum gets the same kind of uptight when you refer to swords as weapons. To say you should not use a knife marketed and designed as a weapon
as a weapon in a comic is silly. All my spydies other than my Yang kitchen knife are weapons ,Serrated police SS ,Chinook3 ,byrd Crossbill etc. SS spydies make fantastic assassin weapons because they are so easy to purchase and even easier to conceal.
Also they are well made and have better cutting geometry than most knives on the market.

Another fantastic murder weapon is the Buck 119. It is an amazing fighter for less than 50$ available at every wall mart. You could have your guy go into a Wall Mart and pick up a native and a 119.

Give that hit-man a bitch'n screw driver! Aren't more people killed with screw drivers than by knives?
