I bought an HJ Forge tomahawk a few years ago at a gun show and have carried it for field use ever since. It's a great hawk, extremely high quality. I have thrown it every now and then, just getting a feel for it, and I've had successes on a regular basis with it in the past. I threw it for about two hours this weekend while on a backpacking trip and it just clicked... I was sticking it time and time again, felt so natural, ranging from five feet out to about 10 yards. Only problem is, the head started to creep down the hickory haft which I have meticulously oiled with linseed since its purchase. It came off two or three times, I used the spine of my machete to beat it back on, but is there a good way to seat the head so it stays on better? I took a 3 minute video of it, I'll get it up later.
