Thanks! It's probably a little big for a necker- 4", 3/16" thick 5160. Ironwood burl handles. We just finished the leather sheath for it. I'll post pics ASAP.
Great looking little knife. The blade looks nicely ground and the handle looks user friendly for its size. The Rabbit doesn't freek me out but the little girl in the picture, that the knife is pointing towards, looks a little creepy
I like HR Giger's artwork so NOTHING is TOO creepy
LOL...
That background is a "centerfold" from a weird art magazine. The artist's name is Ryden or something (the magazine's not in front of me right now). Pretty strange stuff.
Thanks for the compliments on the knife. I lied about the sheath- we just finished the sheath for the previous "Critter" (maple burl). Here's the terrible picture.
Artists name is Mark Ryden. He is one super twisted dude. Can you tell me what magazine it is? My girlfriend is way up deep in some Mark Ryden. She's an artist.
Is that from MMHW or your Dervish line? How's that going BTW? I'd love to see some more pics of that Trident (?) I think it was called.
The magazine is called Juxtapoz. This issue should still be on the newstands- cover by Ryden. Good article on him too, as I recall.
The Critter is a Dervish knife (I don't have anything to do with making the MMHW- just sell them). No more current pictures of the Triton except the stuff here (which you probably already saw): http://www.plan-a.org/dervish/triton.htm
By the way, we ended up scrapping the frog on the Triton sheath.
Dervish Knives: We're working on three more Tritons, a sword and several other new knives as we speak. I hope to have a website and pics up in a couple weeks.
It is a little large for a neck knife, but I think if you had a version with around a 3"-3 1/4" blade it has the makings of a great one. Just my opinion.
