Agreed on all counts. My initial want was a version of the Radford, but I couldn't decide and compared to other blades of similar size / materials they always seemed kind of higher priced. I looked as the Sliver (expensive) and Enoch as well. Had an opportunity to trade for the Kwaiback so I took it, paid about the same retail price in the trade, which is also expensive compared to others options, again at similar size / materials. I looked at Hoback knives long enough to try it out and compared to other knives I had, to me it was the most unique and I still own it. The reground blade did a lot for me too.Hobacks are a bit of an odd one. I would say they are expensive in comparison to similar knives but there isn't alot of similar knives. They are different than the other big name US companies like CRK, Hinderer, Spartan.
They are costly and resale sucks but I absolutely love mine. I've got a Husky, Sumo, and Paraclete. Quality wise they are fantastic.
I think both of the above is what drew me to them. I had eyeballed the Enoch for awhile until I found a new one for a stupid price and I jumped. It’s hard to beat its specs for a $195.00 USA made blade.Hobacks are a bit of an odd one. Quality wise they are fantastic.
