Hello, I would love the opportunity to purchase one of these. I followed the directions on his site to be notified from his dealers of any availability. Is there another option to get on a list like the first run? I don't want to miss any chances to snag one up. Does anyone have any an estimate when another run may hit the dealers?

Hello. USN is the green forum and IG is Instagram. The next version of the Kwaiback is already in the works. At this point, the best way is either secondary market, but you will most likely pay a premium, or join Jake's WEG, which is a monthly or yearly special group. This will cost you, but will give you the chance/opportunity to get knives. All information related to this is on his website.
I was intrigued with the Kwaiback ever since I saw it. IMHO, it's one of the best midtechs out there. I refer to it as a midtech, because during the production of the first run, there were difficulties, that prompted Jake to do more of the work than he had originally intended, giving it more of a custom like flavor. He subsequently added the ability to add a custom pivot, back spacer, and clip, thus enhancing its's custom like flavor. Learning this, motivated me to seek out the first version. It took time and more money than it cost originally, but it is a sweet heart of a knife, and well worth it. I consider Jake to have very high standards, and any version will be a good one.
