Ladies and Gentle men,
I present...
The mini Kwaiken for my wonderful wife Megan who supports me through all this crazy knife making fun!!!
Short mini WIP
Meg loved my Kwaiken folder but it was just too large for her, so I designed the same knife to have a 3" blade from the same materials so we could have a his and hers kwaiken
SPECS:
.187 thick titanium
.200 thick CPM S125V steel
3/16ths stop pin
bearing system
Pure awesome
Start with a CAD print
Cut the S125, sucks!
bandsaw wont cut it even anneled! I cut half way with a grinder and then just break it. look at that super small grain
Drill holes for stop pin slot, and ream pivot to .2495
Cut titanium to size on bandsaw, grind all profiles to shape
Drill some more holes, tap, add magic fairy dust
Do backspacer
Sandblast/tumble
