These aren't new news by any stretch, but I took a bit of a study break to make use of an old can that was just cleaned out. Took the dremel and opened up a square port at the base to put kindling. The top actually says on, with a hold in the center. There are lots of small drill holes for ventilation place around it.

Got a cup of water and tried to boil, took a bit under ten minutes. You've got to watch it a lot more to make sure you're getting optimal flames the whole time. Did ok though. Overall. Some pics:

And then, when I was studying on my laptop outside, a small table tipped over and spilled my brand-effing-new laptop onto the concrete! !$%!$#%#$!!!!! I'm not pleased. It's mostly dinged, but there's a damn crack at the bottom corner of the plastic that borders the screen. I am pissed. :grumpy:

sorry to hear about the laptop.

looks like a nifty little stove too. does your cup get really black on the bottom? ive been having that problem with mine when i cook with it directly in a flame.

Thanks guys-

Yeah, it will get black on the bottom. But I cook everything on either coals or open flame, so they all do.
