Just curious if anyone else here is going to Hock Hochheim's Archipelago Combatives camp this weekend in Iowa?

In any case, I will be leaving for the camp in the morning and will post a review when I return, for anyone who may be interested.

Have fun! I wish I was going, but then again, I am hosting Hock a week later in Annapolis.

I look forward to the review.

"I am not, really."

As already mentioned, I attended Hock's first annual Archipelago Combatives camp last weekend. It was worth every penny I spent.

In a nutshell, Hock streamlined his entire course and made it more combative. He eliminated some of the fancier material and added some really good combat drills. Also, since the course contains material from sources other than Filipino, Hock decided to discontinue using the Filipino terminology.

In all, I would recommend this camp to anyone interested in hardcore applicatins of the stick and knife. For anyone interested, the camp will be held again this same time next year.

Hock had himself a blast at the AC Camp. Day one of the Naval Academy seminar is over now. Hand-to-Hand combat with a lot of ground kick fighting, counters to firearms threats, lots of takedowns, etc. Tomorrow is all knife. "In the Clutches Of," "Unarmed versus the knife" and more. Everyone is loving it.
