Even with several bull dogs clamped on to a tusky old boar I wouldn't want to wade into the ruckus with only a 5 inch handle. This knife will give the hog hunter a choice of handle length: 5 inch cord wrap for the very brave and up to 10 feet with a pole lashed to the tang for the rest of us. There is about 3 feet of cord wrapped on this handle for lashing the pole.

Forged from 1/4 inch 5160
Hollow grind
Machine finish (Scotch Bright)
Cord wrapped handle with several holes in the tang for lashing
Overall length: 14 inches
Blade: 9 inches
Heavy leather riveted scabbard. No belt loop, I just assume anyone would want this one carried in their day pack.

$175 Delivered to the US. My PayPal account is gldrewknives@yahoo.com I will also take checks with time to clear or USPS money orders.

I like it, but if I'm going to stick a blade into something with resistance such as a hog's shield or bones if you miss for some reason, I'd really like to have more slip resistance between my hand and the blade, that is, a guard of some kind, brass, bronze, or nickel silver. If you want to put one on there for a reasonable price, I'd be glad to buy it. If this interests you, email me at sixtlghorn@aol.com or PM me. If you want to sell it as is, I completely understand and wish you the best. Thanks.

Too late to put a guard on this one Gatogordo but I will keep this in mind on future hog knives. My thought on this one is to have a little longer handle lashed to the blade, maybe 3 feet, so the guard would be moot.

Withdrawn, didn't realize it was mainly for spear
purposes, let myself go by beauty of work.

That is wicked.

I wonder if the local hardware store has a lance shaft that would fit this.
