I'm going to venture a guess here. On January 27, 2009, Scrap Yard released a satin-finished Muk in 154CM with a Res-C mudder grip. It was the first start-to-finish knife Dan released under his "new Scrap Yard business plan". For those who may not be familiar, Dan's revised business plan stipulated that new releases would remain in the company store for 4-6 weeks. Then they'd be pulled from the store, built to order, and shipped 4-6 weeks later. The Muk, however, only managed to remain on sale for 3 weeks before Dan unceremoniously pulled it from the store with no notice whatsoever. It was simply in the store one day and gone the next. Dan never explained why he did that. But I suspect it may have been because the Muk wasn't selling very well. If that's the case, Scrap Yard's experience may not bode well for the release of a Busse Combat Muk.
Again, this is merely speculation on my part. But if I'm right, those who are interested in acquiring a Bussekin Muk would be well advised to seek out the Scrap Yard version. Although it doesn't come up for sale very often, it may be the only Bussekin Muk they'll ever have a chance to get.
