Shooting was great! We did a milkbottle target at 25 yds with a 10/22. Too easy. Pushed it to 40yds. She did well, there. Had to bear down a bit more with a rifle she's not used to holding.
Then we moved up to about 10yds with the 22/45. (Lots of slashed Rugers today. LOL) THAT was hard for her. She was near it all along, but only hitting half her shots. Not bad for her FIRST TIME at the range with a pistol.
In the inbetween, I pulled out my new GSG5 and Interarms PPK/S. Both functioned VERY FUN!
Then back to the action. The girl had Moxie. Well, the RANGE had Moxie. . . all over it. We set out 6 cans of the stuff and she blew it to MUK. First shot with the pistol blew the first can. 20 more shots, nada. We switched to the rifle. Once she had it dialed in (about 15 yds), she blew them away.
It was a blast, no pun intended. She definitely wants to go back.
