I was going to get a ceramic stick on ebay, they have the 1/2" x 9" for like $15 shipped, was thinking about getting one., you think this one looks pretty good?

i did get one from smith sharpeners i wasnt to impressed with

I don't have alot of sharpening experience compared to some aces here, but I have used a set of sticks from "Steamboat Springs" with hair-popping success. It is probably the best bet for a novice like me, but I would like to eventually try out a nicer outfit.

We had them where i worked in high school many years ago and they didn't do a great job of sharpening either.

I don't have much either, but i can get them decent on a leather strope.

Yeah, those basic models don't look like they would cost more than $50.00

When you tell people how much you spend on a busse they are like...WTF...that much for a knife?

oh yeah, only live once. i never thought i would spend $500 for a knife, but they are worth it if you can afford them.
