You are correct, it is bait.......friends and drunks and drunk friends come out the woods anytime the crawfish are boiling!!

So how many of those little things do you need to eat?

I use to catch them in the creek behind the house up in Sonoma. But those were typically 5 to 8 inches.

Not really something you eat as a "meal" ......more or less an excuse to drink and hang out with friends.

But typically an adult can and will go through 5-6 lbs of whole crawfish. Also, there is the sausage, corn, potatoes, mushrooms, garlic...etc.

Small boil usually 2 sack roughly 85-100lbs.

Large boils easily in excess of 700lbs.....usually only one of these a year during the Strawberry Festival.

One day.

I've been 'buried' by my superiors under a never-ending mountain of bureaucracy and 'little things to do.'

As long as it isn't "country", "western", or "country & western" ;) and, as DowntownDM puts it..."throwaway/teen pop"... You'll probably catch me listening to anything at least once. :) With these exceptions, my taste in music just about covers the spectrum.

Currently in & out of my ear (among other music)...

Blues compilation "Lightning In A Bottle". Definitely in my CD top ten list and Blues in general is a main staple for my aural appetite.

On the other end... :D

Daft Punk "Alive 2007" (official release) & "live @ Coachella" (unofficial release, AKA 'bootleg') Gets the blood pumpin' for me.

Got a lot of good bands in those lists, but what about anything from Randy Bachman (BTO and the Guess Who)? And as for old country, what about some David Allan Coe (I bring this up because I saw Hank Williams)

I've also seen a lot of metal heads in the thread, so how about some Korn, Mudvayne, and Godsmack?
