HOG/PIGLET opinions needed.....

I have a simple solution to your problem. Sell your Busse grips to me, either or both pairs will work. I have EDC knives to match any of them.

There you go.... problem fixed, I get the grips I have wanted for so long and you do not have to choose what your pistol gets to wear to work. WIN / WIN situation I think. See...?, like so many of my HOG brethren I am a giver :D

Seriously... I would choose whatever pair is most comfortable and practical. Or just rotate as the mood strikes.

Actually the Sheriffs I have seen here in West Texas carry black plastic pistols. :barf:

i shoot the same regardless of the grips.

but, the gunners are more abrasive. these need some sanding before i could carry them daily.

is the buffalo too "decorative" for a duty gun, you think? i cant decide. its pretty subdued in person, but its still a picture. a very cool one, but not sure if its appropriate for official use.

Mark,
I don't personally think the buffalo is too decorative for a duty gun, but I guess I might think otherwise if I saw it in person. Still, there are some great manufacturers that have grips with designs on the sides--Nighthawk and Springfield Armory are the two that come to mind immediately. I would not think carrying any of those would be inappropriate for duty.

And I hear you on the abrasive issue. I know of at least one high end custom maker that does incredible front and back strap checkering, but I have been told that it is so abrasive that shooting for any length of time becomes more of a chore than enjoyment.

Black for duty, snake for show.

But ... if Jerry will make a set ... go for Blue/Black G10!! It's just too cool to ignore. ;)

Is a magwell an appropriate accessory for a duty gun? If so, go with the Gunner grips. Otherwise, I would choose the black canvas Busse's.

I like the black Micarta the best. Those are awesome. The snake is a bit too flash, and the buffalo on the Simonich grips is.... kinda ghey IMO.

The black micarta looks more on Duty like.
I'm sure they all feel great.

They all look great:thumbup:

Late in on this one but I agree with OldPhysics ...
Black for everyday and snake for those times when you want to show ...
The snakeskin mycarta just looks so good!

it makes reloads significantly easier. we train to reload at the "ready gun", muzzle downrange, tight to the center of the body. since it is not a visual reload, the mag well helps quite a bit. though im not totally sold on it, im planning to give one a try.

Heck yes, I have guns. The knives are for the zombies...'cause everyone knows you're gonna run out of ammo for zombies....:D

will you marry me??? ;)

hi stacy!!!!! :)

always the voice of reason, jamie is!!

the warrior will remain as is for duty use! :D

There! I knew Mark's common sense would prevail.

We don't want anyone ... anyone! ... mistaking our young LEO for anything but the consummate professional.

Mark,

The Black Busse grips are all business...leave em on...they're great! If some dish soap won't clean em up, try some Bix. I noticed that it cleans micarta to brand new when I was using it to strip a old user.

The buffalo should stay on the nickle....looks a little funky on your gun :p. The snakeskin is a little too flash for duty..I definitley agree on that. I like my snakeskins, but they're on a gun I only take to the desert/range.
