Hogs at the trough - tulsa

It was good to meet some actual Busse people!:D

I got there around 9:00 Saturday morning, and can say that several of those knives pictured on the Friday night set-up were gone!!!!:grumpy:

I was able to pick up a Swamp Rat custom.......

The Gladius was high on the list, but my wife would have used it on me!!!!

Looks like the Busse boys brought some of the good stuff! Let us know what you took home from the show.

I noticed there weren't much GG at all too. Those satins sure are beautiful though....and the handles are nice too. I don't think I would want to use any of them they are so pretty.

Get one in your hand, you will want to hit something with it!!!

Nice! Cept you put half of em back up on the exchange straight away (flipping) without a dealer subscription. Should re-read those exchange rules I think bud ;)

Put knives on the exchange? Yeah, 'cause my wife was more than a little upset!

Thanks for the help, though!

Wow! So all people need to do, in order to buy knives and sell them at $100 over ticket price the next day to pay for the 1 or 2 you want to keep, is say "Oops, I got in trouble for buying them, so I am going to sell them again!". Who needs a dealer subscription anyway!

The exchange rules are quite specific. That you choose to ignore them doesn't give you the right to rolleyes at me over pointing out your obvious flouting of them. Yet I can't post "pm sent" to give a timestamp on a claiming of a knife without getting a warning? (note: I haven't yet, but these new rules mean it will (and has) happened).

Purchasing knives, or anything else for that matter, is voluntary. If the price doesn't suit you, don't buy. It's that simple.

You recite the rules for others to follow.
Then, you complain about having to follow them yourself.
You go on to acknowledge that you anticipate warnings in the future for not following the rules, but have not received any; yet.
Is the "Do as I say, not as I do" speech next?
Are you kidding, or what?

Yeah, that was just me being a little frustrated at the rolleyes thing. My bad. Thing is tho, I don't care if he flips knives. I care that he follows the rules. That's all. Jaxx has posted numerous times to read the rules. Eric made his own post in the exchange telling people to read the rules. Since this isn't Animal Farm, and all animals ARE equal, the rules, however much sense they do or don't make, apply to everyone. If there was a caveat in the rules saying "At the moderators discretion, these rules may or may not apply to you" then fine, it's their ball pit, they can do what they want. If not, abide by them.

Thanks.

quoted from the rules: "A dealer is defined as anyone who purchases at wholesale pricing, or purchases items with the intent to resell (flipping). Other terms for dealers include purveyor, broker, reseller, etc."

Looks like an INTENT clause to me.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Also, referencing items for sale on the exchange is prohibited here. You might get an infraction for deal-spotting.

If you don't get an infraction for flipping, then I doubt I'll get one for deal-spotting. I don't think you're really fooling anyone :)
