Hogs, what is your favorite pen?

Nice pens Foo. Do you have a 600 in their normal stainless nib and in the gold nib in the same profile, if so which do you enjoy writing with more?

I don't have any 600s anymore...
I have a few tri-pens & tri-pencils in that style.

I have a sweet roller ball and pencil set with a gun metal finish...
but the cap lock doesn't really grab all that well anymore.
Carried that set for many years. I need to send it in for a fix.

The only Rotring fountain pen I have left has the SS nib.
Bought it in a small shop in Belgium... the shop owner swore it wouldn't
leak on an airplane. He was right! It's the onlu one I've traveled with
that doesn't. It's also the only one that writes the first time after sitting
for a few days.

I'll have to get it out and see which model... I can't remember at the moment. :p

Years of taking/reviewing reactor plant logs taught me to love the Zebra F-701. It has a VERY fine roller ball that allows you to make clear, small entries and the ink dries fast to avoid smudging. And it won't kill you to lose one.

Parker Jotter. Been around for ever and the only way I have broken them is putting them in my back pocket and sitting on one. It breaks the plastic screw ring on the inside. Their ink always has worked best for me. As a lefty gel pens and fountains smear but the parker ink always seems to be ok.

The parker gel inks seem pretty good, have you tried them? Until I finally purchased that rotring my favorite pen was a slim Parker in a matte black epoxy coat with gold trim. Although the Rotring 600 fountain pen is nowhere near the most expensive pen that can be purchased I have wanted one since I was eleven. Even at that age I liked looking through the pen section of the ordering catalog at places like Office Max and Depot. They were bought out and the design went away before I was old enough to purchase one for myself and then it took me a while to remember to look on ebay. After having a huge hassle trying not to get screwed over on a canon d60 when the first came out, I have pretty much avoided the 'service' until recently.

I don't use pens as much as pencils, but have several "Cigar" pens turned of various exotic woods at work; they use Fisher ball point cartridges and are very nice. For everyday use, I usually grab a blue Pentel EnerGel RTX Retractable Roller Ball Pen (BL77C).

For pencils, I like Sanford Logo 4 (.7mm) pencils. After I discovered that Sanford had been bought out by Paper-Mate, I found a supply of Sanford Logo 4s online from an Australian company, so I bought 6 boxes. Since, I'm still using 2 of the first 3 pencils I broke out from a box I bought at Office Depot nine years ago, I'll probably never need to buy another mechanical pencil.

Lol! I love this pen, it cracked me up to see someone else was a fan. My only complaint, the plastic piece at the top that holds the clip....repeated stress to the clip can cause the plastic piece to come loose over time. If they made that one piece in metal, it would be perfect. My work around is to superglue the piece in, since you can replace cartridges from the front end.

For six bucks, you can't go wrong. :)
