Hogtied rant/question

Its definately somebody here. Ive seen the BCS go from completely full to completely Hogtied as we speak on this. Im not saying its somebody who contributes but they are watching us.

Paranoid much? :D

Whoever it is, if they are doing it on purpose then they will get theirs eventually.

not if they never complete the checkout process :p:D

no its not me doing it and i am not even sure if it is a person or a just glitch, but if it is a person you would think they would have better things to do with their time

I want to apologize for the use of profanity (p@##ed, and d@#n) in my earlier post....I was informed that that was out of line for this forum by a moderator and so have edited my post. I am sorry if I have offended anyone.

You are NOT being a grumpy old fart.

I ought to know ... since I am one. ;)

We need to find this Hogtier -- and Hogtie him!!

No worries man....trust me I know how frustrating it can be sometimes

Wonder if the Skunk has a cart that does not time out?:confused:
Then he could trickle the knives in every so often with out closing the store....
Makes more sense than sombody refreshing every 10 minutes for two days trying to be a cart hog...

HHMM! are you on to something:eek:

I think there should be no option to add one to cart, simply buy one now, if the transaction doesn't take place within a certain time then inventory stays the same and someone else can get it.
And I don't even want a fat warden, I just don't like the hogtied practise either.:thumbdn:

On a related matter: I have seen my cart expire and the inventory refresh immediately in the past.

My theory is that it is not someone sitting there refreshing their cart every 15 mins. That would be hard to believe unless someone has figured a way to do it programmatically. I bet there is a glitch whereby once things go 'hogtied', they don't automagically 'unhogtie' themselves without manual intervention on Skunk's part. Just a guess. But there are definitely S0Bs that tie up all available inventory as soon as new offerings are released.

there are some on the exchange currently

Its easier to do than you might think. But than it would be even easier for Skunk to find out and block their ip address.

This scenario seems more likely.

You might have something there. I placed an order and when I did I saw it say hogtied right after I added it to my cart so I cked out and made payment. After i thought I'd go back to the store and look and see if it still said hogtied and it did. I would go back to the store and ck very few minutes and no change . so I had nothing to do that day and I would ck back at the store off and on all day with no change.....all this happend on a sunday but on monday there was inventory again. So I to think its a glitch that takes manual intervention....To let the comp know that we do have more in stock......just my 2 cents
