I have a magnacut Deka that I hated until I added aftermarket scales. It is a great knife for the size and weight. You won't notice it in running shorts. Although I like the Deka a lot, I prefer the design and overall form factor of the bugout. I

I got the SMKW with the "Texas Rattlesnake" scales but it looks more like Beverly Hills Leopard Print to me. Thinking about some replacements but I don't want aluminium.

I think that most frn Bugout and frn Deka owners sooner or later swapping oem scales with aftermarket g10/micarta/Ti/Allum ones. Customization is a good thing, you can build what you want or need.I ve never seen a knife I would buy, knowing I was going to have to change the handle scales.
I got a Kershaw Bel Air xl to try out Magnacut steel. While probably fine as an office carry edc, it is a bit light for my taste for a work knife. So far the Magnacut seems to have good resistance to corrosion.
