I wanted to get one of the 4" drop point blade models. Would the aluminum handle version be alot stronger than the G mascus? I think the G mascus would feel better in the hand, and also look better.

The G-Mascus does have a better feel to it and is lighter. I've had a pair of G-Mascus grips on my SIG and like them a lot. The aluminum is a stronger material but is not as attractive. Go with what feels better in your hand.

I believe I read where the designer said the G-Mascus and Aluminum models are of the same tested strength or within insignificant range of each other.

The G10 will wear/scratch/ding a lot friendlier than aluminum. Aluminum is my least favorite production knife material of all time. Lightweight 1911's use it, and I'm still not a fan.

Get the G-mascus. You won't regret. Aluminium looks cheap to me.

Is the 4 inch that much bigger than the 3 or 3.5? (As far as EDC goes?)
The 4" is quite large. Here's a photo that shows size with some other larger folders.

It kind of makes my Pacific Salt look small, more like a Delica.
I don't have a smaller Hogue EX-01 but as you can see the 4" is Tyrade/Military big.
