Hole opener for Sebenza

Yes, I noticed that one earlier today, very cool! excellent pimping job!:thumbup:

That is my knife ! Don't get me wrong, I still have the original BG42 blade with the studs that I rotate with this blade. This is an S90V blade made by a maker.Like them both but thought I would have one with a hole also!!

Maybe it's just me but I don't like it. It makes it look cheap like some flea market knife. I guess it will appeal to some folks but I like my Sebenza just like Chris made it. Change doesn't always make things better.

That's pretty cool looking alejandrino. I like it to the point that it's making me wish I had the time or tools to try doing that to one of mine. I likely won't, but I'm glad you did. Good work there.

Thanks, but don't get me wrong! I did not do any of the work. Reese made the blade for the sebbie including the hole and the thumbhole crevice. Frankly, opening it is a bit easier than a stud, no offense to Mr. Reeves great sebenza design!

I love my Sebbie and have not stopped carrying it since I got it.

BUT

I REALLY miss the spydie hole on my spydies :( The Spydie hole is the quickest manual way to open a folder PERIOD

That looks outstanding! Is there a picture of it closed to get an idea of how much grab you get from the hole?

Enjoy ;)

it uses Spyderco's (integral) compression lock and it carries tip down;

and in full flat grind, with the same compression lock moved on the right side and tip up carry:

Do a search of my post entitled Sebenza wharncliff as I had a pix of it closed and can't repost it again, I am afraid. Yes, I had expected a wharncliff blade but due to communication problems, I got this blade. Quite alright! Waiting for another in a wharncliff!!

Chamfer the oval some, and what you're left with is not only one less "part" for your Sebenza (two less parts in the instance of my double-lugged Seb), but you've also got an ambi opener that will not catch and snag the corner of your pocket on the draw.

I've always thought a hole-opening Sebenza would be right on time. :cool:

Professor.

Nice, I like the hole opener design. I've thought once or twice about knocking out the thumbstud and enlarging the hole to make an opener. Likely wouldn't ever really do it, but if they ever offered one that way I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

Nah. I don't need a hole opener on my Sebenza. If I want hole openers I'll buy a Spyderco.
