I'll be having a white Christmas.
Took me 2 1/2 hours to get home from work today. Idiots that don't know how to drive in the snow!:grumpy: :grumpy:
We have about 8 inches of snow on the ground, wind gusting 25-50 mph, and more snow coming down. They are calling for another 12-24 inches through the night and most of the day tomorrow. We are under a blizzard warning. White-out conditions reported all over the metro area, and along all the interstates north, south and east of here. All the Colorado front range (I-25 corridor) Interstates are closed, I-25 is closed from NM to Lincoln Blvd on the south side of the Denver Metro area and from 120th Ave on the north side of the metro area to WY. I-70 West is open, but chains or snow tires are required, I-70 East is closed from Tower Rd on the east side to Kansas. I-76 is closed from I-270 to Nebraska. Denver International Airport is closed as well. From the Continental Divide west, the sun is shining in places. Looks like I'll be able to sleep in tomorrow, as the little Nissan Sentra will probably not get out of it's parking spot until tomorrow evening or later. Maybe not until the weekend.

Hows the weather where you are?

Bill

Turned cold today, in the low 20's to perhaps 35. No snow yet...good for Southern Ohio. I remember Denver...got snowed in there a couple of times myself.

I was watching evening news and seen you guys were getting hammered,
going to take the holidays to dig out of that one. Here in northern Ontario,
it's mild and no snow on the ground.

Congrats on the snow. On Dec 1st we got a burst of cold weather with nights in the teens. Unfortunately, now it's 60F in the afternoons again. Doubt Tennessee will see a white Christmas. Best I can hope for is a chilly Christmas fog. If you use your imagination the fog can seem like snow on the ground and trees.

Looks like we'll have the first white Christmas in a loooong time, I loaded the motorcycle yesterday in anticipation of the weather guy having a clue. Glad I did !!

Heading to Phoenix Friday morning, hope the roads have cleared by then.

This was about 1 pm

Phoenix is supposed to freeze tonight:eek: Then run 60-65 through Christmas with lows in the 35-45 range. :D Of course, now that I'm a bonafide southern wimp, I had to break out my "real" coat.

Where at in p-HOE-nix are you headed JJ? I"m out in east Mesa and have lots of sharp pointy things for you to spend your Christmas bonus on:D

I just don't get it.

I'm in Quebec city. Almost no snow. Around 0°C (32°F) and last week, it was RAINING!

Damn, even Yangdu have snow!
Next week, Jaiofspam will not be able te get out of his house and will have to buy khukris to spend time!

I think mother Nature is doing drugs.

Grew up on the corner of Baseline & McClintock in Tempe, my parents moved to Gilbert a few years back.
East Mesa, that's like, what, Queen Creek now

Yangdu sent the Dil Bhadur BAS from the 11/28 DOTD to a friend in 'East Mesa' Sousaman (?) and Guadaloop, bringing my Khuk's to show him how to spank it, claims its too beautiful to use . I told him its too useful to not.

PM or email me, maybe we can show off our pointy tools.

You got mesquite, can't wait to hack some up, all I got is pine.

I tried to call counsel for a registrant in downtown Denver at about 4:30 PM EST yesterday and got a message that they were closed due to weather. I checked CNN Weather for Denver and saw what was going on there, so I called the registrant in California. I had good news for them, so they didn't mind being interrupted at lunch an I was able to say that their counsel was "literally snowed under." :D

PS: I work for the Securities & Exchange Commission

Here in my part of New Brunswick, I don't think we've had much snow on Christmas and Christmas Eve in 15 years or more. The only time of year when I wanna see the stuff, and it's either too mild or too cold for it! 8-<

My brother, who lives near Boulder, flew back east last Saturday, ahead of the storm. We see very little snow where I am in SC and I don't recall ever having snow for Christmas here. We'll be in Indiana for Christmas this year. There, we see snow more often than not during the holidays, but I don't believe a white Christmas is in the forecast.
