I'm also developing a liking for the Goptes. They have a good look and weight to them.

I picked up a 18" 26oz hope a few weeks ago. I'm not sure what defines one but mine has a huge blade drop and a hand and a half length handle. I agree that the length to weight ratio on these is spot on.

Maybe it's the kami who's making them but they are not as nicely finished as a normal HI blade. They are finished nicer than an ugly villager but no where as nice as say a M43. Auntie has been pricing these really well so this can be easily overlooked.

uhhhh...? hmmm? Bawanna! Am I close? Thats great cul! Mine came pretty dang sharp but i want that knife to split hairs. It will be my best fish knife so far. Its thin enough to filet a fish and thick enough to whack steaks out of a catfish or shark without any problems. I promise I wont use it on any fellow sharks tho
