I've been looking at hollo grinding jigs and have pretty much decided on building one myself. I get the concept. I'm just a little confused as to how to make the micro-adjust knob on the back that moves the blade/jig towards the belt.

I was wondering if someone could take some pictures of theirs for me? Perhaps even disassembled if it's not too much trouble. I'd really like to have one in hand to really reverse engineer it. Even to the point of paying shipping both ways and throwing in some nice handle material on it's ride back. :D

Think of how a vice works, except in place of the jaw the moves in and out its the fixture and the base part of the vice is the base of the fixture. Then just imagine that but has a second adjustment that moves in a second direction of up and down with the same concept at that but moves 90* up and down.

You don't need an infeed mechanism if you run the belt backwards. Simply set the fixture to the 'final' position and grind away.

Hmmm.... thanks for the info guys.

To be honest, I'm still kind of having a hard time figuring out how I'm going to build it. I have a pretty thick head and am a visual/tactile learner. That's why I had mentioned pictures or having one in person. I've been looking online for pics but I can't seem to find any of the jig from the underside. It'd be ideal if I could find an exploded parts diagram or a disassembled pic.

Please don't take this as me asking for the info to be spoon fed to me, because I'm lazy. I really am just this stupid. :D I've been finagling parts and digging for info on the net, just haven't founded it.

Look at Travis Wertz video on what he is doing for hollow grinding
