Its funny that they sold these for $10 back then and they sell them for $5 now.
Most of use wont admit it but almost all of us have owned a knife like this.
Heres mine.

My dad got it for me after my first hunting trip when I was 8.

Now lets see your pictures and hear your confessions.:D

Heck Ill admit when I was a boy, I saw one in boys life magazine and lusted after one for a long time. I never got one though, I have a hole inside that has needed to be filled w/ gear since then.......and it never fills up.;)

I guess I can blame mommy and daddy for my illness for not leting me have it:(

JK:D, I have always wanted to say that.....

Oh I definitely had one, it was actually the kind with the full 'survival sheath system', including a whistle and slighshot and all sorts of stuff. I had it at some time during elementary school, and actually found it recently when digging through my parents basement!

When I tried to unscrew the base to get out the toys inside, the darn threads snapped off on me! Oh well, wasn't exactly an heirloom anyway!

I had that exact same one that spookypistolero had! I saw the add for it in Soldier of fortune magazine, and I couldn't wait to get the money togather to buy it.

1!!! I had like 10 of those, I had the Parker, the one you pictured and the one with the slingshot for sure....I have been a knife nut since I was a small boy.

Yep, I have one with the bigball compass! Lucky me, I moved onto CRK one piece knives. I guess I still have a little Rambo in me!

Wow!!Molecular 420 stainless that's pretty special..it's not often you encounter something made of molecules....I had 1 when I was a kid as well..I thik my dad got it for me becaus ether was no way I could've cut myself or anyone else with it...Wore it everyday on my croos country camping trip when I was 10 though...

Me and my friends went through several of those as kids. They broke very easily, right at the tacti-cool bottle opener.

My dear departed wife bought me one. It had a bulbous wierd compass on the butt. I thanked her, but told her she could pick out her own gear, but I was competent to pick out mine. At least the bottle opener was good.

Had to start somewhere, I actually found mine not long ago cleaning the basement,
one black metal handled one, and one plastic camo handled one, heck I think the folder was there too along with a had full of other fine cutlery from my youth, probably been in that box a good 25 years.

I have an old Rambo II knife.

Buddy of mine has one and actually uses it a lot as a camp knife. They were 440C, so I guess they're not that bad as knives. . .

Heck, I've still got one in the knife box somewhere. Growing up I had one with an aluminum handle that held up surprisingly well to a lot of abuse. I never did outgrow my fondness for the Rambo survival knife and when I was 18 or 19 I picked up a Parrish survival knife that I beat on pretty good, now I cringe whenever I pull her out of the sheath. A nice purchase for my second handmade knife, though!

That ad's great :D We never had ads like that LOL.

Yes I had one like the one in the ad, in fact it's probably still around somewhere. Also had the replica Rambo version and another which I think was a copy of Buck. IIRC mine were gifts from relatives. At least they were on the right track even if the actual product wasn't great.

My buddys dad had one, it was the pinnacle of knives in my 12 year old eyes.
That commercial was awesome, thanks.:)
