Hollow Handle Survival Knives

Looks like a straight bang job of Crain's design.

Not that I care at all, but it lacks originality.

The handle looks disproportionally narrow compared to the blade.

I agree with you somewhat on the looks of the handle being a bit too narrow.
Nothing that a little cord wrapping couldn't help though.
I like the fact that the Farid blade is around 5/16" thick compared to the 1/4" of most others.
I like Busse's 5/16" thick blades so figure I would like Farid's also.
It's all about looks with a hollow handle knife for me.
Maybe a dumb reason but it is what it is.
