Do any of you guys remember which knife supply place sold those metal hollow handles with the capped ends? Thanks.

Does anybody make hollow handle knives that might sell me just the handle and end cap?

I know I have seen them somewhere here at one time. Martin Knives makes hollow handled knives. Dont know if he would sell you the handle though??? Someone will be along that might have some more info.

By a hollow handle do you mean a stick goes through the handle and something screws onto the end to keep the handle on?

The hollow handles which are on survial knives. RAMBO!!

I have seen those handles for sale with a compass build in.
But for my life i couldn't tell you where it was. (it was on line)

TKS used to sell them, but I'm not seeing them in their online catalog now. I may actually have one laying around that I never used, let me know if you can't find one to order.

Yeah, I checked to get the link and it isn't there anymore. I can't find one on any site.
There are a few makers who make such knives that a search for "hollow knife handle survival" will turn up. Maybe they would sell a handle.

The cheap survival knives are only $10, so the best method may be to remove the handle and make a new blade using the old one as a pattern.

Custom Knifemaking by Tim McCreight has a chapter on making a hollow handled survival knife. He uses plumbing fittings.

I thought it wasTKS. I will probably have the machine shop make me a handleful of them. Sucks they quit selling them. May try the pipe thing. Thanks everyone.
