I would like to share my experience with Holt Bladeworks. As some of you may know I lost one of my Specters last Monday. I hit them up knowing they are slammed with orders and they do this part time. Angey responded within an hour and made it clear she would find time to get me something put together and we’d figure it out.

Fast Forward. She assembled some stuff they had made for Blade and just didn’t have time to get together for the show. Today (6 days after I lost #45) I paid for and have a new Specter like the one I lost shipping out tomorrow. #126

Angey took the time to email back and forth with me probably a dozen times, all hours and many even today on Sunday.

I have been in the high end knife game for a lot of years, been a long standing member of many of our communities, have had many experiences and read about even more with A LOT of makers. Some experiences weren’t good at all, some ok, some quite good, but the Holts set the bar for how someone spending the kind of money we spend on these should be treated. I have spoken to them in the past and each time it’s very gracious, no bs and to the point and communicated in a very timely manner. I mean as far as I know they still know their customers names and the knifes they have.

I can’t say enough or thank you guys enough. The only thing that got the pit out of my stomach from losing that knife was knowing you guys would work to help my situation. I wish you continued success and happiness in what you do. You truly deserve it. The amazing knife that I’ve grown to love and call my favorite is created by even better people.

Thank you Joe & Angey!!

Good on them, shame on you! Sorry you lost a knife, but it's nice to see them help you out. The Specter is a really good looking knife. Something about it has me thinking of it as a US Shiro, clean lines, utilitarian, great action.

Good for you they did that for you. I've tried like crazy for months to get on their books with no luck. I've given up trying.

20 years and my second one I’ve ever lost. There’s a Sebenza at the bottom of Hirwood lake in northern Ontario also.

I was fully prepared for them to say sorry but we don’t have time or we can’t. I got lucky she was cool enough to take the time to look at stuff they already had cut and there was a match in that combination.

But yes shame on me for sure. I was sick over it. 20 years carrying high end stuff and 2 down. Not horrible I guess. I work and play hard.

saw their reddit post saying #45 is now buy at your risk, not servicing it ever again. kinda cool of them to be so involved.

Don’t give up. Sign up to be on their mailing list and ignore work to jump on the order list. Worked for me...
