HOLY COW!!! I just found out what my kitten is!!!! (breed)

My parents used to have a Maine Coon cat... huge, lethargic, silly, crazy jumper. It was less like he jumped and more like he levitated!

Knife content: From a standing crouch he could jump about 1.5 times the length of a AK-47... (or to the top of the fridge. )

Also, check out Russian Blues... they, like the Maine Coon, are more like a dog in temperament. My kinda cat!

Thats a cool looking cat.. We just got a kitten also about a week ago.. wandered up to the door .. cute lil thing..
Cute cat. I had one just like that for about 1 year. I gave him to a friend and he's still doing well. Congrats.

Oh. one more thing, and this is the thing that cinches this breed for me.
He doesn't meow. He make high pitched whining noises. It sounds like a meow, but without the change in tone.
And this is a trait of the Bengal breed.

That would be neat.. This lil kitten meows like crazy .. more than any cat I have ever seen .. she gets up at 4:30 -5 am every morning up on our chest and goes to town meowing.. lol and purring.. I am not a cat person but this little kitten is pretty cool .. The thing that I liked about her was she is not totally black.. right under the black she has grey fur.. and it is in the pattern of a tabby .. You really can't see it in the pictures I have taken .. but I am still trying to capture it.

YES!!! You can. not much, but it stands out in the front legs. That's pretty cool. Kind of like a Black pather with black spots on black.

I'm sorry if anyone is sick of me bringing this back up, but this is the last time. I promise. Anyway, Since we got 2 months ago, my 2 girl cats have definately lost weight. This almost not-a-kitten-anymore has them running all over the place, and not because they really want to either. But I'm glad that he's bringing this added health benefit to our other cats. For those of you missed this above, this is a SERIOUSLY playful breed. Okay, tuning out now.

What makes a male a better pet? My last two cats have been female and have been great! The last male I had was a monster! Headstrong, stubborn- a real instinct for knowing what he shouldn't be doing and doing it- oh, and the spraying &*#@$

Obviously your experience has been different, so why a male?

If your male was spraying, I have to assume he was not neutered, which will make a male cat more agressive and fearless. After speaking with a few people on forums elsewhere, it is generally agreed, and there are certainly exceptions, that males are the cool cats out of the two. More loving, more devoted, more loyal. I have two female cats, one of which breaks the mold and is really sweet and attention-seeking, and the other, while still very sweet, is much more independant.
