Well, you know I would help you with all your work.
By the way Amy-O, I like Jack Russell's. A neighbor of ours has had one for 13 years, and despite going blind, he's still a happy little feisty fella. He loves our young lab, as well as the older dogs in the neighborhood. They are great companions and have incredible hearing! Dude's can hear something coming from far far away.
Well my Boosay...is a Toy Fox Terrior..and is very deaf ... born that way and knows some sign langauge ...that I taught her....I also sent her as a young pup to a school......they gave me my money back....cause they could not teach her......they.... as like me did not relize she was DEAF...till about a year old....
but she is my BABY..and would trade her for ANYTHING
and she loves BACON![]()
Congrats for working with her and teaching her visual cues. I'm glad she is a great companion for you and your family. I bet that first year was a little interesting as you tried to train her without the knowledge of her issues with hearing! I have a buddy who's two children are autistic. The first year and a half with their first child was a confusing roller-coaster for them until the diagnosis.
I wish many more happy years for Boosay as she grows old with the Busse family!
