That's how I have it. I thought it was supposed to be different, but I guess whatever works. Despite the knocks on them, they are really decent sheaths. Congrats on your first Busse. My first one was for Christmas and it's been all downhill since.:D
 
I think that's how it came, for me. But, you know, twitchiness and all.

It may be a decent sheath, but it's not my style. Then again, I wear hawaiian print shirts year round. My style is odd.

I was surprised that mine came with a sheath. It does have a lot of play though in terms of the blade pivoting back and forth within the sheath from where the knife handle meets the opening in the sheath. (even when it's wrapped snuggly with the cord)
