After thinking about it some more, I'd say you're off to a perfect start Garageboy. You've got some nice production knives that are fun to use and learn from (do you want to learn more about sharpening by doing it on a custom?). Keep 'em all!

You've got the rest of your life to get customs. If you wind up averaging one a year for the next 30 years -- think of the collection you'll have.

Enjoy what you've got and start thinking about what you'll aim for once you've got more $$$ to play with. ;)

Let's see...
2 Spyderco Calypso Jrs
1 Spyderco Mouse
1 CRKT M16
1 CRKT KFF Pro
1 Spyderco ParaMilitary
1 fine and 1 med Spyderco stones
1 Camillus Heat
= I COULDA brought one VERY nice custom
Try saving for a Sebenza if you do not have one and buy a Simonich Mid-Tech fixed or a Swamprat fixed.

Fox foldiers get a Al Mar SERE 2000.....

You still can buy a very nice custom. That is the beauty of this, just because you have a knife doen't mean you are done. Nope, not by a long shot. There are still some upper end production knives for you to check out. Get yourself a Microtech, or a Benchmade, one of the Camillus Mad Maxx knives, the list of upper end production pieces just goes on and on.

Then there is the Sebenza and Mid-Tech knives.

Then comes customs. Start looking at customs and you open up the doors to a world of endless possibilities. You can get just about anything you want if you are willing to pay.

I am saving up to get these semi customs, a Strider, the one that looks like the Buck/Strider/Tarani police model. I am also looking to get a Randall model 1, preferably with a stag handle. Last but not least, I want to try out a Sebenza, all the people hoopin and hollerin about it have got me interested!

Thanks! The thing that brought this up was that I was drooling at a BM 705-401 and I know I'm not gonna have enough. (EDC knives is down to a few)
I think I can do the Caly on the stones. There's no weird drop point where I usually end up rounding the tip on. (My browning skinner and Opinel has safety tips on them ::rolls eyes)

Then there's the stuff I didn't buy...the Eks Mutt mentioned, the Browning Skinner..the pair of frosts...
