I agree with you on that. I liked the regular AMS, but Mexican income has forced me to be extra selective...seeing the perfection of this AMSMO, I'm soooo glad I waited on picking one up!

Luckily my girlfriend really likes my brand of crazy (and actually supports my knife hobby?!), and this whole saga was contained to her bedroom.

Some of them were eating dinner at the time, and the rest of the family was enjoying a marathon of "24" so I can thank Jack Bauer for distracting them from my AMSMO crisis last night :D

The fact that I'm currently sharpening girlfriend's mom's kitchen knives to a level of sharpness she's never experienced has me thinking that they might have been sympathetic to my situation if they knew about it ;)
 
Nice come back! Not so lucky here. I've been sooo busy with work lately and my days are getting longer and longer. So, last night I get in around 8:45. Usual routine...kiss the wife, see how my daughter's day was at school, etc. OK, it's now just after 9. I sneak into my office to try and avoid any long, last minute stories of how someone (likely a boy) aggravated my daughter at school today and what came of it, etc.. I log on to the forums in the hopes that I'm not too late. It's been a loooong time since I've bought a knife ($$$ & Time), but this one was just calling my name. It's perfect for what I need.
Anyway, I'm not too late. So, refresh, refresh, check email, sip on a drink. It's now 9:29....."Babe, what are you doing in here,?" my wife says as she surprised my in the office. "Ummm, well there's this knife I'm interested in, and there's this crazy thing on the Busse forum that I have to wait for." "What!!??" You come home after being at work all day and you come straight into the office and don't spend time with your family? What the....?" So after a few minutes of apologizing and appeasing my wife, it's now 9:34!! So with my "kid looking like he's gonna piss his pants" face on as I talk with my wife, I get a moment to refresh and boom! It happened. All while getting an earful. Foiled again!! Well, email was sent in anyway, so we'll see if I get lucky??

Awww man! Sorry to hear your experience ended that way - sooo close to go time, only to then have to deal with family diplomacy! Sorry brother! I hope you end up getting lucky along with the rest of us!

For what it's worth, good on you for being able to multi-task and send your email while getting grilled by the wife :cool: I can think of a couple people I know who wouldn't have even been able to do that!

Sending email to Lexi and Jerry does require forum name, so guest won't probably work. Well he can still have a proxy on any forums...
