Holy Grail... That doesn't exist. :-(

What's that one knife you've always wanted, the one that's perfect in every way, but that isn't manufactured. Not at any price point.

Let's discuss here. Maybe we'll get lucky and a manufacturer or two will take notice.

My non-existent holy grail knife is a small g-10 handled lockback sebenza. That's right I said lockback.

I don't like picking pocket lint, coins, etc. out of the exposed gap in a framelock or an open spine. I don't like the titanium handles either. They don't feel grippy enough.

So basically I want a hybrid of my Native 5 with CRK's legendary quality and that excuisite sebenza blade.

I'll play, I want a folder with a 4.5" FFG spearpoint blade, Emerson wave feature, Hogue-style bolster plates for the pivot, compression lock with matte micarta scales and skeletonized steel liners. Either a guard or choil to keep your fingers off the blade, but design it so that you can still get your hand very close to the edge for increased leverage. Round off all the bits that aren't used to cut things and make sure the handle conforms to the curve of the hand. Throw in some oversized hardware to make it a real beast and make the blade out of CTS-XHP. That would be it for me, but I somehow think I'll never see it.

I can honestly say I haven't imagined an unobtainable knife- at the moment. I guess I'm just lucky.

To the op, check out the Fantoni Hide. It's a lockback with CRK quality/fit/finish. Doesn't have black G10, comes with micarta but G10 scales are easily made.

I would do anything (really) for a prototype of the large BK13 necker. Only 5 were made, and no one will sell one. So it was made, but not exactly produced.

Ooh, I like it. I'd seen a puc before but never knew what it was. Might have to pick one up. Still going to be wishing for that lockback sebby though.

The perfect grail that doesn't exist--Built like a SnG, cooks me dinner, makes love to me.

Somehow I doubt they'll drop their blades to copy CRK's. CRK could verywell make a lockback sebenza though. I'd be happy with that alone. Add g-10 and I sell the damn car to buy one.

Eh, I was saying that Spyderco seems like the only company that would take notice and produce any of these hypothetical knives. Sorry if wasn't/am not clear.

Izula folder would be nice.

I highly doubt Chris Reeve will abandon the Reeve Integral Lock on his flagship knife ;)

The Holy Grail doesn't exist, only the search. Many times, I've seen and purchased what I thought was my grail. Once I opened the package and held it, it went up on the shelf, and I went straight back to Bladeforums to search for my next knife.

How about a spring assisted Sebenza with a flipper, in M390 or S110V steel. with some beautiful wood inlays.
