  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Holy Grail... That doesn't exist. :-(

I'll play-

3.5" blade shaped the same as the Caly 3.5 but with a full tip-to-handle cutting edge, no choil.
Hole opener
Same shape handle as the Caly 3.5 but a little taller
Cf scales, skeletonized Ti liner and a Ti R.I.L. (like how ZT did the 0777)
CB blade of S35VN (spine/upper portion) and a S110V cutting edge.

A grail knife not currently made? Hmmm...a 9 inch chopper/splitter weighing 3 ounces, that never needs to be sharpened, is impervious to rust, acid, or nuclear attack, and attracts women with its' manly appearance :D

There's this new concept called "custom knifemakers". Some say it's just a passing fad, but I'm pretty sure it will be around for a while.

;)

We can definitely make the "attracting women" thing happen. As for the rest... unfortunately, the laws of physics still apply :(

A 3 inch Spyderco Military would be my ultimate edc.

Leave everything the same as the current Military, with the exception of a four-way positionable pocket clip.

My holy grail would be a combination of my two favorites. A 3" Doug Ritter mini Griptilian style blade. A Hogue EXO1 style button lock, steel bolsters and G10 handle but with alterations. Handle shape changed to allow your hand to choke up closer to the blade. Better (less squared and sharp) contoured handle. Maintain the often ridiculed "ugly" yet functional spoon clip, tip up carry, smooth pocket side of handle, and lastly Hogues amazing fit and finish.

I kind of feel inadequate because I don't have any special needs that aren't already being met by production knives.

I take a Canoe with the Rough Rider Canoe dimensions with carbon steel blades (not sure on my preference for exact steel yet) with the best fit and finish possible along with the armor hide jigged pattern for the bone. But I want a toothpick, tweezers, and 2 pens to fit into the bolster and blend in perfectly (think SAK but better) and not be very noticeable until needed.

I'd like a custom Emerson SOCFK-A with a SM-100 blade, Ti framelock/bolster, CF scale.

Paramilitary 2 with a flipper would be pretty cool.

My holy grail knife didn't exist until the 0562CF was announced.

Really, just, everything I want in a folder. Differentiating finishes on the blade, utilitarian and non-recurved blade/grind, M390 steel, bearing Ti framelock (with steel insert!) flipper, stonewashed Ti scale, high-gloss CF, nested deep carry clip, a price that will allow me to justify carrying it, and it's RIGHT AT the legal limit for carry where I live - 3.5".

Before that, I would have said "a non-recurved direware SoloV4 that I could afford."

Without investing in extra shop equipment to make it more realistic, I would love to see a micata insingo Mnandi.
