I received my regular email from William Henry with their quarterly collector knives. I went to check it out and there was a knife for $11,500.00 and another one for $10,800.00. I had no idea you could spend that much for one of their knives.

There is a lot of gold and some wonderful engraving. I'm not saying they are overpriced, but they are way out of my price bracket.

Very artistic, but who is going to use one? Imagine picking out a sliver and getting blood on it. Or panicking when you drop it on the floor? Where are you going to keep it when you are not home? What if some junkie breaks in, steals it, and pawns it for $50? Are you going to let your idiot friends even touch it? (nothing personal guys:o).
Will it appreciate $400-500 a year, which is the minimum you'll get if you invest $10,000 reasonably conservatively?
Will your wife/girlfriend want a toy of equal value, or walk out the door? Will anyone in your house eat for the next year? Will your kids give you their paychecks without squawking? Do I want one? He** yes!!!:D

I like it!!! Definetely a user. Wouldn't let that bad boy sit in the safe. I'd be out diggin holes and choppin' up cinder blocks for sure! :D

I know people who think 10,000 is pocket change, to them no big deal to drop that much on a toy, money is relative to how much you have :)

It's a ugly knife though, I seen some of their $400 ones look 1000X better.

Bit of a dog's breakfast as far as the visual elements go. And then I think of what that $10k could buy instead - a Lake...or a couple of Hitchmoughs...or a Warenski...or...? :)

Those definitely make the Benchmade Gold Class knives look like a bargain at a tenth of the price.

Those WH knives remind of old Colt SAA revolvers with all the inlay and etch work. No doubt, those were also beyond the means of most cowpokes during the day.

Well, THOSE are a little Baroque. Embellished to the point of hillarious gawdiness. The phrase "Gilded Turd" does come to mind...

they are a little over the top looking. The 10K looks better than the 11K! I tell you I can run across a $800-$1000 Dusty Moulton knife that makes my heart beat much faster than these. Just me though! Paul

In part, they are beauties.

All together, a little too much.

But, if I had money to throw away, I'd buy one for carry.

Being a fixed blade kind of guy,I would most surely purchase 2 Dietmar Kressler's for the asking price of either of those folders.

Doug:)

Way overdone to my tastes, although I'm thinkin' that the "cheaper" one wouldn't be bad without the gold inlay.

I hope they pawn in at my local shop.:D

Eh, on second thought, I'd pass. I've grown to love my Axis lock BM. I'd trade it in on a box of Benchmades, Spydercos, and maybe a couple Sebenzas for good measure. :p

Your must have been on the professional athlete, movie star, rock star, etc. list in order to get that flyer.
