Home Audio < $1000

Monster cables are over hyped and price. Mono cable are good. But buddy spends all kinds of $$ on cable. I gave him a cable to compare with his $70 RCA "hi end" He said it sounded good but a/b to his cable not quite as good. I said keep it it cost me $2.50 from Monoprice. Guess where he buy's his cables now. :)
Look at Ascends. I have SVS and Ascends. For music imo the Ascend in the similar price range sound alittle better.

Figure out what you want and buy it slow. You will get better stuff. Good speakers and receiver youmaynot need to buy a sub so fast :). Get Sierra and you maynot even need a sub in an apartment.

Why no monster cables? All the ones I've used have been very high quality. Of course, the price is a lot more then Belkin which is almost as good if not the same quality. Mostly I've used their RCA, S-Video and Component cables, compaired both and stick with Belkin do to price.

Dynex cables have also worked okay for me, I have not had them for very long but dont forsee any problems.

Sorry to be harsh, but Monster Cable is the cable version of Bose. Overpriced, over-advertised, and geared for people that don't know any better.
