Home Brew Cutting Oil

I recently heard that a 50/50 mixture of Denatured Alcohol and Transmission fluid makes a superior cutting oil that works lightening fast and keeps the metal cool.

Has anyone experimented with this?

I use the thinnest mineral oil I can find. Nothing more than 80cSt, and 1/2cup per gallon of polydimethylsiloxane.

Oh... you said cutting oil... That's my recipe for quench oil... :foot:

Hi sulphur dark cutting oil, in a 50/50 mix with kerosene.
